Another Great Review for Embrace

One of the great ways to spread the word about your work is to put it into hands of honest reviewers who review lots of books and post their opinions daily.  The latest review of Embrace comes from Kathryn Svendsen at her blog at Shelf Full of Books.

Check out what she had to say.

Embrace's First Review

I noticed on Amazon that I have my first review for Embrace since it was released from my publisher, Carina Press, on March 3, 2014.  It seems I made a convert of a romance reader to a sci-fi enthusiast.  I'll chalk that one up in the win column, especially since my publisher specializes in romance.  :)

Anyway, here's what the review had to say, and I've posted a link to it below:

I strayed from my love of sappy romance novels to give this book a try. I was shocked about how fast the author sucked me into a new world, a world that I am impatiently awaiting the next in the series. I read from another reviewer that it would make a great television series and I would have to agree with that reviewer. The book can be very technical about the inner workings of how space travel and all the gadgets that go with it operate. Coming from a romance novel and current fiction reader, I had to stop and pause and think about what the author wrote instead of just flying through the book. I will recommend this book to all my past gamer and D&D friends that always spent late nights debating on how some books never gave enough details on how things could actually work. Great Book!

A new teaser trailer for Transformers: Age of Extinction is out.  We get to see our first view of a Dinobot vs Autobot battle.  I hope the Dinobots live up to the hype for this film.

The Official Back Cover Copy for Crucible

My publisher has released the official back cover copy for Crucible, book 2 of my sci-fi series, The Epherium Chronicles.  Take a look.

Book two of The Epherium Chronicles

January, 2155

Earth Defense Forces Captain James Hood is on the mission of his life. The Cygni solar system is just one space-fold jump away. One more jump and they'll have reached the fledgling colony that Earth desperately needs if the human race is going to survive. But a plot to derail him has already damaged his ship, threatened the lives of his crew and cost him time. Time the colonists might not have.

So much depends on him now, but Hood's confidence is shaken. It's self-doubt he thought he'd buried, a brutal mind-killer for all military commanders. Yet danger surrounds his team; a brutal insectoid alien race is still out there, intent on eradicating humans, and a greater threat from an unknown, elusive enemy has emerged.

The forces at work on Cygni are like nothing Hood has trained for, tactically or emotionally. When put to the test, he must choose to either trust the unlikeliest of allies, or run and seal the fate of the Cygni colony forever.
