Voltron: The Defender of the Universe Season 8

Tomorrow, December 14, 2018, fans across the globe will witness the release of the final season of Voltron: The Defender of the Universe on Netflix.  The first seven seasons have been a tremendous weave of story, character development, comedy, and inspiring drama.  I have really been impressed with how this series has been put together and cannot wait to see how it finishes.  So many questions... How will the team overcome what Haggar has to throw at them?  Where is Lotor?  Is he really dead?  What happened to the other Alteans Lotor was using to harvest Quintessence? What about Lance and Princess Allura?  Is their relationship just a tease or will it solidify? We need more of the Atlas!

To build upon the moment of release for these final episode, here are the trailers for Season 8.  Who's going to binge watch?  This guy <---!

Godzilla: King of Monsters trailer #2

Looks like Spring 2019 couldn't get any better for movies.  Captain Marvel in March, Avengers: Endgame in late April, John Wick 3 in mid May, and now Godzilla: King of Monsters on May 31st.  I always wanted to see how modern special effects and cinematography could do for these big monster movie classics.  Looks like a good rumble between titans.

Avengers: Endgame

Well after several posts from Marvel, followed by a host of delays, we now have the first trailer for Avengers #4 titled Avengers: Endgame.  This starts off at really low point with Tony Stark not expecting to survive the trip home, apparently adrift in space.  We see peeks at Thor, Nebula, and Bruce Banner as well.  Steve Rogers and Black Widow are looking for answers and may have a plan, possibly with some help from Ant-man who seems to have escaped being stranded when he shrank in between the molecules at the end of Antman & The Wasp.

Here it is and there will be lots of anticipation for the next trailer.

New Captain Marvel Trailer

So much flurry has been generated as of late for which trailer is coming next for the spring/summer movie blockbusters from Marvel in 2019.  Well, the most recent is the Captain Marvel trailer #2.  Needless to say, it is glorious and Brie Larson looks stunning.  Check it out.

Call of Duty Black Ops 4: Zombies

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 - Zombies

Video games are a passion of mine (and my kids) and Call of Duty has been a real staple in my game library.  Specifically, Black Ops: Zombies.  This October, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 arrives packed with a whole new cast of characters, a new storyline and new mission for our original heroes, Tank, Takeo, Nikolai, and Richtofen in "Blood of the Dead"; a return to Alcatraz where an offshoot in Zombies was done called "Mob of the Dead".

The two trailers look really well done, but I am most eager to get back to playing with the original four heroes.  More comfort than anything.  The storyline in Call of Duty Black Ops 2 until Origins arrived, was kind of lackluster, but the new material with these characters in Call of Duty Black Ops 3 was really well done.

The new storyline trailer is here:

Here is the new trailer for "Blood of the Dead":

Godzilla: King of Monsters coming 2019

Godzilla: King of Monsters

I really enjoyed the first of the new Godzilla movies.  I have always been a big monster/robot movie fanatic.  Pacific Rim: Uprising let me down this year.  I really expected better, but the trailer for Godzilla: King of Monsters has the scale and feel of something great.  Great special effects need to match a good story and it is my hope that Legendary Pictures puts forth a winner.  From the trailer, you can see the giants of Mothra, Rodan, and King Ghidorah. The battle begin...

The Aquaman Trailer is here!

Aquaman

The first full trailer for this December's new Aquaman movie has been released.  It looks glorious.  Destined to take over the throne of home he has never know, Aquaman must journey to Atlantis and battle his half-brother, Orm, for the rulership of the kingdom.  His quest seems to be set on the growing conflict with the surface world and another power enemy, Black Manta.

We have all seen trailers with lots of show and spectacle, but I really hope this one steps up like the Wonder Woman movie did.

Clone Wars Season 7 Confirmed

Surprising as it seems, Disney announced there will be a Season 7 of the Star Wars: The Clone Wars cartoon series. The announcement was made at the San Diego Comic Con panel this week.  Disney plans to air 12 new episodes on it new streaming service.

As excited as I am about this new season and return of some of my favorite characters, I still want to see the follow on to Star Wars: Rebels.  More importantly, the search for Ezra.  Who will partake in the journey with Ahsoka and Sabine?  The new series resistance is mostly focused on Poe Dameron and I don't believe we will see a real involvement with the Rebels characters, but I could be wrong in the long run.

Here is the link to some more info on the new season.  Hopefully it will tie up more of the loose ends left by Season 6.
